Who We Are
DBSA Virginia is a member of DBSA National. DBSA is the leading patient-directed, national organization focusing on the most prevalent mental health conditions and mood disorders. The organization fosters an environment of understanding about the impact and management of these life-threatening illnesses by providing up-to-date, scientifically-based tools and information written for the general public. DBSA supports research to promote more timely diagnoses and develop more effective and tolerable treatments. The organization works to ensure that people living with mood disorders are treated equitably.
How We Help
DBSAVA offers Free Weekly Mental Health Support Groups that are run by Peer Support Specialists Facilitators who have lived-experience with mental health challenges. DBSAVA also offers a free 12 week Pathways to Recovery Wellness Program that utilizes strength-based and learned strategies to work through challenges and lead a successful life.
